Installation instructions

1. Download the application to a local drive on your computer and note the download location.
2. Double-click the file. Exe.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen. In the installation process, you will see the End User License Agreement window. Read it carefully and click Agree to continue the installation.
4. After installing, run the Media Manager for. The first time you run Media Manager, the screen will show the Media Manager activation and Gracenote CDDB registration number. Both are necessary for using the Media Manager completely. Internet connection required for activation and registration.
   

Note: Registration can not be done on some special network configurations (eg, corporate networks with very tight security).

How to use
Instructions on how to use Media Manager is available in the Help section marked "?" in the main window of the program.

USB cable issues for Sony Ericsson K810i

Troubleshooting USB cable:

• Check whether USB cable is plugged directly into the computer, not through a hub.
• Restart the computer without giving up a USB cable, or turn off the phone.
• Check whether driver already installed:
  

1. On the computer, select Start> Control Panel.
2. Select System> Hardware> Device Manager.
3. If correctly installed, the Ports (COM & LPT) you will see Sony Ericsson XXX (COM?) And Sony Ericsson YYY (COM?).
4. If not installed, right click on an entry in Other Devices, and select Update Drivers then complete the Hardware Update Wizard.
   

Note: If your phone supports PC suite or Active Sync, drivers included in the application.

• Remove the software for other phones and PDAs, then uninstall and reinstall the drivers. If you use McAfee software, Sony Ericsson software should be reinstalled and McAfee must be disabled for a while. In some cases, this software should be able to uninstall so that connections are made.
• Run spyware scan.
• Try to connect the phone to another computer to help diagnose the problem further.
